Paediatric Speech & Language Pathologist
Nathan is an early career paediatric speech and language pathologist who supports children and their families to reach their personal and NDIS goals.
Nathan strongly believes that power and autonomy are founded through effective communication, and he is committed to helping clients achieve this goal. Nathan prides himself in building strong relationships with clients through a collaborative and engaging therapeutic process based on client-centred and evidence-based approaches.
Nathan has particular interests in early intervention, supporting children who experience speech and language differences, helping children to find the right assistive communication tools (AAC), and supporting school-aged children with early literacy development. He is experienced in supporting clients with Autism, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Language Disorder. Nathan is an accredited Sounds-Write and Hanen practitioner and enjoys implementing these evidence-based approaches to maximise client outcomes.
Nathan is a graduate of Southern Cross University with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology and a graduate of Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Education (Primary). In 2023, Nathan was awarded the Southern Cross University Speech Pathology Australia Prize for outstanding academic achievement throughout his Speech Pathology course.
Nathan has a young daughter with Down syndrome and was inspired to become a Speech Pathologist after seeing the wonderful work his daughter’s team of therapists were doing to support her early development. Outside of work, Nathan enjoys gardening, fishing, playing golf and having fun with his three daughters.
Nathan supports clients in the Brisbane South and Logan area, Brisbane West and Ipswich area.
