Occupational Therapy Lead
Kirstie is interested in supporting all clients to work towards their goals, increase independence and improve quality of life. Kirstie focuses on building positive relationships and meeting her clients where they are to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Kirstie feels strongly about advocating for those who have difficulty in doing so for themselves and helping to cut through red tape to get results.
Kirstie’s career started as a rehabilitation assistant in a head injury unit for young adults where she was privileged to witness and be a small part of the rehabilitation of clients with serious head injuries. Being unable to move, communicate or respond on admission, to eventually relearning many of those essential life skills we often take for granted was life-changing for both the person and their families. Kirstie wanted to use her compassion and empathy to make a positive contribution and support people to live their best possible lives. OTs do this.
Outside of work, Kirstie enjoys yoga, walking the dog, painting, the beach and having fun with family and friends.
Kirstie is based on the Northside of Brisbane and accepts referrals in Central Brisbane, North Brisbane and Moreton Bay.
